1. What fascinated Elie,why? why the boy wanted to ditch his father
   


2. 2.Was it easy to take showers, describe? It wasnt easy to take shower becuase the ss officers lost controll of every thing so you had to get in on your own and get there quick.


3. 3.Describe how the father is now, what can you say about his spirit and his will to live, how has it changed? His father is growing weaker and weaker by the minute his spirit is dying out and losing will to live before he was struggiling to live and just kept on going.


4. 4.Why does elie mean he says, “ I felt that I as not arguing with him, but with death itself.”?


5. 5.Why was elie ashamed of? What was he thinking about? elie was ashamed of the thought that he had of leaving his father and just letting him die alone.


6. 6.Why didn’t father eat anything? He wasnt hungry he just wanted to rest and something to drink.


7. 7.Describe what is happening to Elie’s father. His father is growing weak and is dying slowly.


8. 8.How are you suppose to live in a concentration camp? You are supposed to live in a concentration camp like your the only person that you have to worry about and not care about anyone but you.


9. 9.What was the last memory of elie’s father? his last memory was of his fathers bloody face and cracked skull.


10. 10.What happened to Elie’s father? Elie's father was dead the next moring.


11. 11.Did elie cry? Why or why not? Elie didnt cry he felt like it was one less person to worry about and felt free in a way.


12. 12.What does he mean “free at last”? He could have ment that he was free because of his father dying or he could have ment that the father felt free from all the death and torture that was going on.
